We operate a reputable classic and custom dealership with a virtual inventory dedicated solely to representing the buyer. As explained below, much of our inventory is “virtual”, meaning we do not carry solely physical stock. In addition, we apply our proprietary vehicle-finding technology to mine the internet for any and all vehicles matching a prospective buyer’s specifications. Once found, we negotiate the deal with the seller and perform all necessary steps to get the vehicle into the buyer’s hands as easily as possible. What is the “Keys – No Fees” process?
We have recently chosen to expand our proprietary search service to the public, which has been integrated into our “Keys – No Fees” program. This process not only removes all of the headaches in trying to find that unique vehicle but also includes the very largest selection that matches your specifications inside our “Virtual Inventory”. Your rep then handles the entire deal for you, from getting answers to specific questions, additional pictures or videos, negotiating the final price, assisting with financing (when desired), preparing all required contracts, having the vehicle third-party inspected, closing, arranging for transport with a final documented second inspection, and following through until you have your delivered vehicle. Phew! That is a lot of work! And the best part is that you, the buyer, pay no dealer fees!
What is “Virtual Inventory”?
Our “Virtual Inventory” is made up of nearly all of the vintage, classic, muscle, custom, hot rods, and exotic vehicles currently for sale on the internet. This is due to being coupled with our proprietary search technology and “Keys – No Fees” program, in which we provide you with a full portfolio of cars that meet your specifications, complete with multiple pictures and important information including condition, technical specs, and estimated financing information.
Will there be some cars you have seen on the regular sale sites online or using AI on your own?
Probably, but the big difference is that our rep assigned to you will sort through the results to filter out those not meeting specs. Furthermore, he will call and vet the seller, verify the car and condition, negotiate a favorable price, arrange financing, transport, and inspection, and review closing documents. If the seller is an individual, you also have to trust them when you send your money, hoping they don’t disappear with it. We are licensed and bonded and stay in the middle for your protection. Finance companies, including your own bank, are reluctant to send money to unknown or unlicensed individuals.
How does Sale’s make money?
Obviously, we are not a charity and didn’t get to where we are by being one. However, our founders have contemplated becoming a “Buyer’s Dealer” for some time because it is obviously an unfilled void. Prior to technology catching up and making our “Virtual Inventory” possible, it really wasn’t possible to be beneficial as a business due to how time-consuming buying a car actually is, especially in any type of volume. We have taken everything we have learned and perfected over the years and reversed the process to the benefit of the buyer. We do not charge fees or take any from other dealers. We make our money through the deals we negotiate. We still get the best deal possible for you and only take a small margin due to the volume of cars we buy for clients. We also know that in the case of buying from other dealers, they need to make money too. We are just leveling the playing field and making the transaction easier and fair for all involved. Compare it to buying a home and Sale being your realtor and representing you with the purchase. The amount varies from transaction to transaction but is well worth it considering the amount of time and money you save.
Do you offer financing?
Sure do! We have relationships with several lenders that span most credit levels. Just like anything else, credit and the connected finance terms are based on your personal situation. It is worth noting that nobody at Sale will ever ask you for your personal financial information since all financing is done through our licensed partners.
Do you offer shipping?
Absolutely! Through Sale Automotive Transport, we can assist in shipping your new prized possession right to your driveway. We deal directly with our trucking and shipping (international) companies and have been working with them for years. Our partners have shipped thousands of specialty autos all over the world, and we are able to track shipments via GPS, always knowing where your vehicle is at any given time. Of course, we recommend that you ship ‘enclosed’ using Sale, where your representative can assist in every step of the way, but you are free to choose your own company if you wish. If you choose to ship on your own, we will obviously help arrange pick-up of the vehicle but cannot be responsible for anything once out of our control.
How do I make the purchase?
Once you get all your questions answered and the price has been negotiated, shipping arranged, and financing in place (if needed), we will prepare the closing documents for your review. Provided everything looks good, we will require either a financing down payment or payment in full for a cash deal. We can handle the closing either electronically (which is now accepted and encouraged in all 50 states) or via overnight service if you desire. Your representative will handle everything from there regarding pick-up and delivery, including the documented cosmetic inspections at both locations.
In the instance that we locate a specialty vehicle that you want to hold pending getting everything done, we will require a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit. Of course, this hold will only be required upon your request. This is generally only needed when a very rare vehicle is found or one that is so perfect for you that you don’t want to risk losing it.
Do I have a Guarantee that I will get a Title?
Sale is a highly rated, licensed, insured, and bonded company. You not only have our guarantee but also the comfort of knowing your money is never at risk. Unfortunately, that is not always the case when sending your funds to an often-unknown, unlicensed company or individual. Again, don’t forget that we work for YOU, the buyer!
How can I pay for the vehicle?
There are multiple ways to pay a deposit, including credit card, debit card, Zelle, or bank wire. We are even equipped to take crypto currency transactions! The full balance is generally paid via bank transfer, but if you want to pay by credit card, there will be a 4% charge for the card transaction fee. We prefer bank transfers because they are the safest and most secure way to pay for all parties. Also, with a bank transfer, there will be no hold on the funds, and the car can be released and delivered quicker.
Do you take trade-ins?
In most cases, the answer is no, unless the trade-in is local to our offices in North Carolina. Having said that, never hesitate to ask because your vehicle may be something we are looking for at the time.
